Mr. Hughes graduated from Phillips Academy (Andover, MA) Class of 1971 and from Harvard University (Cambridge, MA) with the Class of 1975, Bachelor of Arts.  Mr. Hughes, over his thirty-four year brokerage career to date, has leased and/or sold over Forty Million Five Hundred Thousand (40,500,000) square feet of industrial space and over Twenty Million Five Hundred Thousand (20,500,000) square feet of office space, primarily concentrated in and along the markets of Interstate 495 and Route 128 (I-95) in Eastern and Central Massachusetts. Property owners and developers in the New England region that Mr. Hughes has represented either in the past and/or today are Atlantic Tambone Corporation, The Baltic Group, Cabot, Cabot & Forbes, Charter Development Corp., Haynes Management, Inc., The Maggiore Companies, Northland Development Corporation and Rosewood Development Corporation.

Mr. Hughes has also had tenant representation assignments over his career where he has negotiated transactions in states outside of New England, including California, Florida and Illinois. Recent brokerage accomplishments include the leasing of five (5) modern single-story flex/warehouse buildings totaling over 525,000 square feet located in the communities of Franklin, Marlborough and Southborough Massachusetts, as well as the sale of twenty-four (24) office, flex and industrial buildings and four (4) land parcels within the past three (3) years. The properties sold were located in the Massachusetts communities of Acton, Bellingham, Canton, Dover, Framingham, Franklin, Hopkinton, Hudson, Marlborough, Milford, Natick, Northborough, Oxford, Shrewsbury, Sudbury and Westborough.  Additionally, Mr. Hughes has assembled and negotiated for purchase numerous land parcels in Eastern and Central Massachusetts, among the assemblages are The 495 Technology Center, Southborough, MA; The 495 Technology Center West, Marlborough, MA; Cedar Hill Business Center, Marlborough, MA; and The Grove Street Business Center, Franklin, MA.

Mr. Hughes has also been, in the past and currently, an owner/investor and trustee of both suburban industrial and office buildings in the Metrowest market of Eastern Massachusetts.
